Renovar la escucha profunda
In early December 2025, the serene hills of Tepoztlán provided a sanctuary for our latest Garden Session. A group of artists from across Mesoamerica gathered at the Temple of the Black Scorpion to reflect on the profound knowledge of indigenous communities and the creative path.
A strong sense of community and deep conversation defined the gathering. Participants discussed the complexity of art in resistance, and how important it is for indigenous perspectives to shape our future as a whole.

On the final day, we collectively planted a Ceiba tree, known as Yaxté in Mayan language. A sacred symbol of growth and connection around the world, the tree is now a living memory of the time spent together. To carry this energy forward, the group embroidered a collaborative textile mural of the tree, alongside a poster, a fanzine and a film.
We are deeply affected by the trust, the new knowledge, and the lasting connections that were made under the Tepoztlán sky. As we move on together, we take the spirit of the Yaxté with us. Thank you/Gracias/Yuskoroya!
